GRADIENT started developing innovative document solutions 23 years ago. Today our award-winning Scanning and OCR enhanced document recognition GScan products help businesses worldwide increase their productivity and efficiency.

Founded in 1994, by Rasto Hlavac, GRADIENT became the first exclusive distributor of the emerging scanning and OCR technology in Slovakia. As the only specialist in data acquisition technology in CEE, the company quickly won its first customers - the Investment and Development Bank and the Ministry of Defense of the Slovak Republic. In a major project for Slovak Post, GRADIENT created software capable of processing over 150,000 documents per day.

With the ever-growing projects on the international market and expanding expertise, GRADIENT began developing its DMS products. In 2005, it introduced a payment order processing solution that reduced the costs of the bank by over 80%. Specialized solutions for processing of car insurance and many other industry verticals followed. In 2014 GRADIENT fully committed to the shift from solutions provider to a vendor and began introducing the GScan line of products.

GRADIENT has won 16 Microsoft Industry Awards, 9 of which were for ECM products and solutions, two European SharePoint Community Awards and a Document Manager Award. We have more than 50 partners and distributors in Europe, North America, Australia, and Asia.
